Anthony R. "Tony" Sandusky, 50, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home in Jackson.

He was born June 17, 1962, in Advance, Mo., to Bob and Faye Ross Sandusky. He and Alicia "Lisa" Sims were married Sept. 8, 1979, at First Pentecostal Church in Sikeston.

In 1997, Tony became a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jackson and also became employed at ARI in Jackson. He worked 15 years as second and third shift foreman at ARI before failing health forced his early retirement.

An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed spending time with his dad's horses, hunting, camping and riding motorcycles.

Loving survivors include his wife of 33 years, Alicia of Jackson; three children, Bobby (Ashley) Sandusky of Oran, Mo., Cody (Courtnie) Sandusky and Chelsea Sandusky of Jackson; his parents, Bob and Faye Sandusky of Jackson; three grandchildren, Trenton, Abigail and Corbin Sandusky; two stepgrandchildren, Savannah and Jaidyn; special family friend, Jamie McBrayer of Batesville, Miss.; and his canine friend, Lacey.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ronnie and Nathan Brown officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
