PATTON, Mo. -- Tony Delmar Bangert, 74, of Patton passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005, at Monticello House in Jackson. PATTON, Mo. -- Tony Delmar Bangert, 74, of Patton passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005, at Monticello House in Jackson.

He was born July 24, 1930, at Lixville, Mo., son of Robert J. and Caroline Pohlmann Bangert. He and Lamia Lou Miinch were united in marriage May 22, 1954, at Friedheim Lutheran Church by the Rev. W.F. Krahn.

Tony was confirmed April 1, 1930, and baptized Aug. 24, 1930, by the Rev. John Deye. He worked for Fred Weber Construction in St. Louis as a carpenter, a farmer, and was a charter member of Patton Lions Club and Patton Fire Department. He was a member of American Legion Post 248 in Fredericktown, Mo., current member of Bollinger County Ambulance Service, Missouri Farm Bureau, served two terms on Patton School Board, and maintained status in Carpenters Local 2298 at Rolla, Mo.

He served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Lamia, of Patton; a daughter and son-in-law, Toni Angela and Matthew Reed of Perryville, Mo.; a brother, Lonnie Bangert of Jackson; two sisters, Stella Uhlig of Shawnee, Kan., Wilma Ruppel of Oak Ridge; and three granddaughters, Shelby, Betsy and Kelsey Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Gilbert and Ervin Bangert.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Adam Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Lixville Cemetery at Sedgewickville, Mo., with full military honors provided by Missouri Honors Team.
