EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Funeral for Floyd T. "Tommy" Cox of St. James, Mo., will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at James and Gahr Mortuary in Rolla, Mo. John Gioia will officiate. Burial will be in Flat Grove Cemetery at Rolla.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 6-9 p.m. today.
Cox, 65, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Oakton, Ky., son of Floyd L. and Lottie King Cox. She and Sherma Parker were married Oct. 26, 1954.
Cox was a 1953 graduate of Matthews High School.
He was a driver 27 years with ABF Freight Lines, retiring in 1998. He was owner of MTS Construction and Trucking Inc.
He was formerly of the East Prairie area.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike and Bryan Cox of St. James; a daughter, Beth Fletcher of Mason City, Ill.; two brothers, Terry Cox of Niles, Mich., Charles Cox of East Prairie; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
