Thomas R. "Tommy" Cobb, 35, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at his home.
He was born March 27, 1975, in Daleville, Ala., son of Jay Cobb and Leola Rhodes Cobb King.
Tommy attended Central High School and was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church. He loved music and had the ability to pick up any instrument and learn to play it. He also played guitar in a former local band in Cape Girardeau and enjoyed fishing.
Loving survivors include his mother and stepfather, Leola and J.D. King of Gordonville; father and stepmother, Jay and Paula Cobb of Manchester, N.H.; a son, Tyler Cobb of Lopez Island, Wash.; a sister, Marla Cobb and her son, Landon Cobb-Williams of Cape Girardeau; a stepbrother, Adam (Shana) King and their children, Kylie Dunlap, Elijah and Jonah King of Jackson; and stepbrother Richard Carr of New Albany, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Mike Ketcherside officiating. Interment will be in Stroderville Cemetery near Whitewater.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to "Celebrate Recovery" c/o Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
