TOMMIE PLEASANT

TROY, Mo. -- Tommie Nadine Pleasant, 75, of Troy, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy.

She was born April 8, 1925, in Randles, Mo., daughter of Thomas and Lucy Spain Lands. She and George Pleasant were married March 14, 1970. He died May 13, 1998.

She was a retired nurse and worked at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She was a member of Sulphur Lick Baptist Church in Troy.

She is survived by two sons, J.C. Barrett of Bakersfield, Calif., and Ronald Winchester of Troy; two brothers, Bill Lands of Florissant, Mo., and Dallas Lands of Delta, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be at Kenyan Cemetery in Delta.
