CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Tommie Joe McEntire, 70, of Charleston died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Tommie Joe McEntire, 70, of Charleston died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., son of Jess Jewell and Jewell Irene Holder McEntire.
McEntire lived in Mississippi County most of his life, and was a member of Charleston Church of Christ.

Survivors include four brothers, Cecil McEntire of Jonesboro, Ark., J.B. and Jessie McEntire of Charleston, Russell McEntire of East Prairie, Mo.; three sisters, Nadine Brady of Charleston, Flossie Hurst of Bono, Ark., and Mary Chappell of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Bill Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
