TOM MCCLANAHAN

BERTRAND -- Thomas F. "Tom" McClanahan, 84, of Bertrand died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Bertrand Nursing Facility.

He was born Nov. 1, 1914, in Decatur County, Tenn., son of Jesse and Martha White McClanahan. He and Dorothy Marie Willard were married in March 1948. She died May 28, 1994.

McClanahan lived most of his life in Mississippi County. He was a retired farmer, and member of Bridges United Methodist Church.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a brother, Allen McClanahan of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Willer officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
