McCLURE, Ill. — Tom Davis, 61, of McClure died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Howard and Gladys Victoria Davis. He and Martha Stevens were married April 4, 1969, in Cape Girardeau.
Davis was a graduate of Shawnee High School. He farmed all his life and operated a feed lot and goose hunting club. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Matthew (Christine) Davis of Ava, Ill., Joseph (Brandy) Davis of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Bill (Linda) Davis of Jonesboro, Ill.; two granddaughters, Alyssa and Megan Davis; two nephews, Drew and Marty Davis; and a great-nephew, Tyler Davis.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
