Tina Kay Riehn, 59, of Millersville passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at her home after a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

She was born June 18, 1964, in Perryville, the daughter of Vernon and Esther Oehlert Petzoldt. On Oct. 9, 1993, she married Mark Riehn.

She graduated the eighth grade from Concordia Trinity Lutheran School in Frohna and was a 1982 graduate of Jackson High School. In 1986, Tina earned a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University, majoring in accounting. She was employed in the accounting department at the Southeast Missourian for many years.

Tina was a member of Connection Point Church in Jackson

Loving survivors include her husband of more than 30 years, Mark Riehn; a son, John Riehn of Millersville; mother, Esther Petzoldt of Jackson; two sisters, Pamela (Robert) Wenger of St. Peters and Renae Petzoldt of Jackson; and nieces and nephew, Cheryl (Adam) Kendall, Zachery Wenger, Briana (Thayne) Warren and Adriana King.

Tina was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Petzoldt, and sister, Cynthia Sinden, who also passed away from ALS on Feb. 5, 2015.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Rev. Chris Vaught will officiate the funeral at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
