Tim "Termite" Monroe, 54, of Vanduser, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Sept. 16, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, son of John Richard and Esther Marie Stein Monroe. He and Tanya K. Johnson were married July 26, 1980, in Cape Girardeau.
He graduated from College High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
Monroe coached T-ball in Vanduser, Scott County Central girls elementary basketball and Summer League softball in Puxico, Mo.
He was owner of Monroe Glass Co. until 1988 and was a master glazier. He was a mechanic for Bunny Bread from 1991 to 1999. He worked for Edgewater Glass 1999 to 2004, and for Tony Johnson Farms since 2004.
He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Cape Jaycees and Vanduser Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Tanya K. Monroe of Vanduser; a son, Christopher Monroe of Vanduser; two daughters, Jaci Monroe of Vanduser, Stacy Nicole Monroe of Vanduser; a brother, John C. Monroe of Millersville; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ernest Jordan and Glenn Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
