Tillie Goetz

Tillie Agatha Goetz, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 30, 1913, in New Hamburg, daughter of Lawrence and Therisia Scherer Westrich. She and Theodore Goetz were married on May 8, 1954, in Chaffee, Mo. He died April 17, 2000.

Goetz retired in 1975 from Thorngate Ltd. after working 47 years as a seamstress. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent DePaul Church with the Rev. Derek Swanson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
