BELL CITY - Louise Marie Pettis, 84, of Bell City died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.She was born Sept. 18, 1915, in Mt. Bayou, Miss., daughter of James and Annie Bell Dent. She married the Rev. Mack Pettis, who died in 1952.Pettis was a member of Christ Sanctuary Church of God in Christ. She lived in Missouri more than 50 years.Survivors include two sons, Oliver Pettis of Elkhart, Ind., Samuel Pettis of Yazoo City, Miss.; three daughters, Cora and Betty Ann Pettis of Sikeston, Dorothy Timmons of Burlington, Iowa; two sisters, Gussie Brown of Omaha, Neb., Hattie Tyler of Chicago; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Sanctuary Church, with the Rev. Alex Sims officiating. Burial will be in Pullen Memorial Cemetery.Friends may call at the church from noon until service time.Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
