Thomas C. White, 84, of Sikeston died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, at his residence. He was born May 14, 1912, in Dawson Springs, Ky., son of Benjamin Joshua and Macie Elizabeth Cavanah White. White was a cook in the Grecian Steak House. He served in the army during World War II and received a purple heart medal. He was also a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Sikeston. He was a member of the Americna Legion-Henry Meldrum Post 114 in Sikeston and the Disabled American Veterans...

Thomas C. White, 84, of Sikeston died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, at his residence.

He was born May 14, 1912, in Dawson Springs, Ky., son of Benjamin Joshua and Macie Elizabeth Cavanah White.

White was a cook in the Grecian Steak House. He served in the army during World War II and received a purple heart medal. He was also a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Sikeston. He was a member of the Americna Legion-Henry Meldrum Post 114 in Sikeston and the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include a number of neices, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Marvin Butrum will officiate with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
