MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Thomas L. Sawyer, 48, of Marble Hill passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Saint Louis University Hospital.

He was born July 21, 1966, in Cape Girardeau, son of Robert Jr. and Saundra Felty Sawyer. He married Kimberly Bollinger on Dec. 14, 1991.

Thomas worked as an industrial engineer for Rubbermaid and Unilever. He was a member of Harmony Congregational Methodist Church, where he served as the church treasurer, Sunday school superintendent, on the church building committee and on several other boards and committees.

Survivors include his wife, Kim of Marble Hill; two daughters, Shelby and Cassidy Sawyer of Marble Hill; mother, Saundra Felty Sawyer Crader of Marble Hill; grandmother, Virginia Felty of Millersville; two brothers, the Rev. Randy (Paula) Sawyer of Fredericktown, Missouri, and Dean (Chris) Sawyer of Whitewater.

He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Robert and Hazel Sawyer, and Quentin Felty.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harmony Church.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Revs. Bill Ross, Elijah Allen and Greg Burns officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.

Liley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
