THOMAS SAUERBRUN

OLMSTED, Ill. -- Funeral for Thomas William "Tom" Sauerbrun of Olmsted will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Villa Ridge Union Church. The Revs. Joey Dunning and Ralph Kaufman will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the church from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

Sauerbrun, 89, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

He was born July 12, 1910, in Olmsted, son of William and Lora Duckhimer Sauerbrun. He married Mae Shafer, who died Jan. 12, 1997.

Sauerbrun was a retired farmer, and attended Villa Ridge Union Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Alice Henson of McGill, Nev.; a son, Robert Sauerbrun of Olmsted; two sisters, Wilma Bailey of Galesburg, Freda Shafer of Marion; a brother, Cecil Sauerbrun of Oak Ridge; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.
