Thomas Everette Richardson Jr., 67, of Scott City died Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 12, 1951, in Gideon, Missouri, to Thomas Everette Sr. and Mildred Laverne Methenia Richardson. He married Mary Louisa Wild on Nov. 8, 1973, in Carterville, Illinois.
He was a proud police officer for Sikeston Department of Public Safety in Sikeston, Missouri, and previously he was an officer in Cairo, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Eric (Amber) Richardson of Scott City; and two grandchildren, Jasmine and Ethan; two brothers, Stephen (Linda) Richardson of St. Louis and their three children and Kenny Richardson of Cairo; as well as many other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kimberly Rose Richardson.
Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. David Coon as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mounds, Illinois.
