ANNA, Ill. -- Thomas O. "Tommy" Norton III, 60, of Anna was reunited in heaven with his mother, Peggy Rendleman Norton.
Tommy died at Union County Hospital at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016.
He was born May 31, 1956, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Capt. Thomas O. and Peggy Rendleman Norton Jr.
Tommy is survived by his father, Thomas O. (Aldeane) Norton Jr. of Jackson; three sisters, Jana (Fritz) Norton of Paducah, Kentucky, Susan (Doug) Floyd of Millersville and Becky (Keith) Foster of Perryville, Missouri; a brother, Jason (Cindy) Norton of Webster Groves, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and caretakers who loved him very much.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jonesboro Cemetery at Jonesboro, Illinois, with Bill Littrell officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Tommy lived at the Choate Mental Health Center and called Cedar Cottage his home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Choate Mental Health Center (Cedar Cottage) for the benefit of his friends. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, Illinois.
