BLOOMFIELD, Mo., -- Thomas Lee Lintz, 68, of Bloomfield died Monday, April 23, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 20, 1933, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Les and Ethel Riney Lintz. He and Reva Lee Williams were married Aug. 31, 1956.
Lintz was employed 30 years with the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 1990. As a young man he worked at Churn Williams Station, Pepper's Bakery, Corbin's Clothing and Cleaners, and as a meat cutter at Elmer Hopkins Grocery.
He was a member of First General Baptist Church and was Sunday School superintendent several years, was a member and past commander of the American Legion Post, and was a past Cub Scoutmaster.
Lintz served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Greg Lintz of Dexter, Mo.; a daughter, Connie Lintz of Bernie, Mo.; a brother, James Lintz of High Ridge, Mo.; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
