MARBLE HILL -- Thomas Leon Poindexter, 52, of Marble Hill, died Monday, Oct. 19, 1992, at his home.
He was born Dec. 21, 1939, in Mayfield, Ky., son of Robert Thomas and Helen Cope Poindexter. He and Theresa Speer were married Oct. 22, 1978.
Poindexter was a self-employed roofer.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Patrick Poindexter and Ronnie Carter of Marble Hill, Ricky Poindexter of Granite City, Ill.; two daughters, Robin Briggs of Granite City, Romona Poindexter of Cahokia, Ill.; his mother of Huntingdon, Tenn.; three brothers, Bill Poindexter of Cascade, Charley Poindexter of Cahokia, Albert Poindexter of Beaver Dam, Wis.; two sisters, Kay Cope of Cahokia, Diana Autry of Huntingdon, and six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Rev. Carl Cureton will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
