PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Thomas J. "Papa Tractor" Keliher, 69, of Perryville, died Jan. 28, 2018, after an extended illness at his residence. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Thomas J. "Papa Tractor" Keliher, 69, of Perryville, died Jan. 28, 2018, after an extended illness at his residence.

He was born Dec. 20, 1948, in Kankakee, Illinois, son of Joseph Daniel and Verna Delores Hudson Keliher. He and Peggy A. Lix were married June 11, 2011. She survives in Perryville.

Tom loved spending time with his family, being outdoors, caring for his land and spending time at his home. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam era.

Other survivors include two daughters, Lindsey Keliher of Tampa, Florida, and Brooke (Stephen) Anderson of Hainesport, New Jersey; a brother, the Rev. Michael Keliher, C.S.V., of Henderson, Nevada; and a grandson, Austin Ryan Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with prayer vigil at 7 p.m., and Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 am. at Young and Sons Funeral Home

He will then be taken to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for funeral Mass at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Keliher, C.S.V., officiating. Burial will be in Yount Community Cemetery, with military graveside honors provided by American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team.

Memorials preferred to Cancer Centers of America.

Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville provided the arrangements.
