Thomas Jackson

HIXSON, Tenn. -- Thomas Bennett Jackson, 81, of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in a local hospital.

He was a distinguished veteran of the United States Navy, serving our country for more than 25 years.

Mr. Jackson had lived in Soddy-Daisy for the past 17 years and was of the Baptist faith. Our beloved Papa was the foundation our family was raised on, and he will forever live in our hearts. "Family is the Rock."

Thomas is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lucille C. Jackson; daughters, Catherine Carson and Helenoel Brodersen; son-in-law, Thomas Carson Jr.; grandsons Jason Carson, Dustin Carson, Devon Carson and Aaron Harmon; granddaughters Julia (Carson) Harmon, Katherine Brodersen and Tammy Carson; great-grandson Thomas Carson III; and great-granddaughters Patsy Jo Carson and Chesney Carson.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m.. Friday at Hamilton Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Hixson.

Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Minister Deborah Dickerson officiating. Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hamilton County Memorial Park, with military honors.
