CAIRO, Ill. -- Thomas J. "Jack" Sneed, 72, of Cairo died Friday, May 22, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion.
He was born Feb. 19, 1926, at Ullin, son of Green S. and Lucille Frechette Sneed.
He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Cairo Masonic Lodge. He was of the Baptist denomination.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sneed of Cairo; two sons, Gary Sneed of Hillsboro and Allan Lang of America; two daughters, Lynn Fulton of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Darla Bauer of Granite City; a sister, Virginia Allbritton of Cairo; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son, two daughters and brother.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, with Masonic rites at 7.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Dr. Larry L. Potts will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
