Thomas Griffith
Thomas M. Griffith, 66, of Fenton, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Des Peres Hospital in Des Peres, Mo.
He was born Nov. 13, 1942, in St. Louis, the son of Merrell M. and Toby Thomas Griffith. He and Julie Couch were married Nov. 7, 1960, in St. Louis.
Griffith graduated from Sikeston High School in 1960 and from Southeast Missouri State University in 1967. He was a former senior engineer with McDonnell-Douglas Co. in St. Louis.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Courtney Griffith of Arnold, Mo.; two sons, Darin R. Griffith of Cape Girardeau and Kyle T. Griffith of Arnold; mother, Toby Griffith-Wyandt of Galena, Mo.; one sister, Joey Crosnoe of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Richard Griffith of Millersville and Dr. S. Kent Griffith of Cape Girardeau; a former wife, Julie Griffith of Fenton; and two grandchildren, Ali and Tristen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merrell M. Griffith.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Lynwood Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Lynwood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Belcher officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
