Thomas Graviett, 84, of Oran, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 15, 1916, at Marked Tree, Ark., son of Clarence Lee and Mary Lou Evans Graviett. He and Eudora McCarty were married on Dec. 25, 1939.
Graviett was a retired farmer, and former president of the Perkins School board and the Oran School board for a total of 13 years, and a member of First Baptist Church in Oran.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Leland Graviett of Farmington, Mo.; a daughter, Elaine Mays of Oran; a brother, Max Graviett of Sikeston, Mo.; two sisters, Lucille Stigall of San Antonio, Texas, and Eloise Roth of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran from 10 a.m until service time.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Ed Carter will officiate, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
