Thomas Glastetter

Thomas L. Glastetter, 57, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 23, 2009, at his home.

He was born Jan. 8, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, son of Louis and Anna Bucher Glastetter. He and Martha Blattel Glastetter were married April 12, 1980, at Benton, Mo.

Glastetter was a 1970 graduate of Kelly High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Blattel Glastetter of Cape Girardeau; a son, Justin (Heather) Glastetter of Jackson; his mother, Anna Marie Glastetter of Benton; a brother, Robert Glastetter of Benton; six sisters, Bonnie Hulshof of Benton, Helen Miller of Scott City, Anna Presley of West Frankfort, Ill., Lori Seyer, Nancy Buell and Jane Lix, all of Benton.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Benton. Parish prayers will be at 6:30.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Denis Catholic Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
