Thomas "Tom" Henry Froemsdorf was a generous and loving husband, father, pawpaw, brother, uncle and friend. He died suddenly on June 29, 2022, at age 80.

He was born in Cape Girardeau to Henry and Elizabeth Froemsdorf on Feb. 24, 1942. Tom was a 1959 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. After graduating high school, he worked for his father's electrical contracting business, Acme Electric, along with his brother and sister, Sonny and Becky. Later with his brother and sister, he bought Kagmo Electric Motor Company and was president of Kagmo until his retirement.

On Nov. 30, 1963, Tom married Mary Elizabeth Essner. During their 58 years of marriage, Tom and Mary gave each other nine children.

Tom gave his time and talents generously and unceasingly. He was a skilled carpenter and made furniture that fill most of his children's, grandchildren's and friends' homes. Holidays were full of games that he invented, his pranks and his fun and warm presence. After retirement, he spent his days going to daily Mass, saying evening rosaries with family, working on his latest remodeling projects, helping his children anytime they reached out with a need and visiting with lifelong friends.

He enjoyed his daily paper and morning coffees with friends, helping his neighbors, golfing with his sons and cronies and always being available for phone calls to chat.

Tom was a member of St. Augustine Church in Kelso, Missouri.
