Thomas Fowler
Thomas W. Fowler, 76, of Old Appleton passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at his home.
He was born June 12, 1932, in Lake City, Ark., son of Thomas Franklin and Lizzie McCallaugh Fowler. He and Rosemary Kittle were married Aug. 23, 1952, in Lake City, Ark. She passed away Sept. 24, 1993.
Thomas was a fitter at Combustion Engineering Corp. in St. Louis from 1955 to 1983. He and his family moved to Old Appleton in 1977.
Loving survivors include three sons, Thomas (Marianne) Fowler of St. Louis, Albert (Carol) Fowler of St. Paul, Mo., Charlie (Heather) Fowler of Tower City, N.D.; three daughters, Freda Rose Rygalski of St. Peters, Mo., Reita Lee Peer of Perryville, Mo., Catherine (Ricky) Greaser of Cape Girardeau; a faithful companion since 2000, Ivy Lee Lawley of Old Appleton; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother, a sister and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery near Old Appleton.
