FRANKFORT, Ky. — Thomas Woodrow Fetterhoff, 74, of Frankfort, formerly of Deltona, Florida, and Lutesville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 23, 1943, in Mexico, Missouri, to the late Elmer Clyde and Dorothy Fecht Fetterhoff.
He served as an aviation electrician mate in the U.S. Navy on the USS Currituck during the Vietnam War. The remainder of his career was spent working in the telecommunications field. He retired in 2003.
He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served on the Honor Guard. He was also a Mason and Boy Scout master. His hobbies included studying genealogy and Civil War history and watching John Wayne movies.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Cameron Lee Quinn.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Jim) Hubbard-Webb of Frankfort, Monica (James) Warner of Altha, Florida, and Michael (Shay) Fetterhoff of Plant City, Florida; grandchildren, Jared W. Hubbard of Frankfort, Joshua C. Warner of Altha, Justin T. (Kaylee) Hubbard of Okinawa, Japan, Jacob T. (Emily) Warner of Hampton, Virginia, Brooks T. Fetterhoff and Caden M. Fetterhoff, both of Plant City, and Lauren N. (Trey) Waddle of Frankfort; great-grandchild, Davis Neil Warner of Hampton; and siblings, William (Carol) Fetterhoff and Anita (Bill) Fahrenkrog, both of Jackson, and Carl (Stoney) of Springfield, Missouri. He also is survived by his previous wife, Linda Belgarde Fetterhoff of Deltona; previous father-in-law, Archie (Jane) Ford of Fort Myers, Florida; by James Nandal, who he loved like a son, his wife, Susie, and children, Michael and Mark, of Seffner, Florida; his lifelong best friend, Mike (Ann) Cilio of Apopka, Florida; and nieces and nephews, Scott Fetterhoff, Tammy Davault, Cynthia Hayes, Mary Catherine Fetterhoff and Elizabeth Fetterhoff. He also was blessed with his devoted and loving canine companion, Abby.
A private family service will be at a later date.
