ORAN, Mo. — Thomas Henry Eftink, 67, of Oran died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 15, 1941, in Portageville, Mo., son of Henry J. "H.J." and Delpha Kathleen LaFont Eftink. He and Mary Ann Goetz were married April 20,1963.
Eftink was a self-employed farmer, and also worked at Buzzi Unicem in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St. Joseph Sodality and Knights of Columbus Council 4311.
He was a member of the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brad Eftink of Sikeston, Mo., Jeff Eftink of St. Paul, Mo.; two daughters, Laura Criddle of Cape Girardeau, Sandy Norwick of Mountain Home, Ark.; six brothers, Monsignor Edward Eftink of Ozark, Mo., Michael Eftink of Gordonville, Larry Eftink of Springfield, Mo., David Eftink of Oran, Louis Eftink of Sedgwick, Kan., Kenneth Eftink of Bloomfield, Mo.; a sister, Barbara Jarvis of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., followed by the rosary at 7:15.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Monsignor Eftink and the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
