FESTUS, Mo. -- Thomas "Ben" Chapman, 84, of Festus died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, at St. Louis University Medical Center.
He was born May 17, 1921, at Advance, Mo., son of George and Mella Chapman.
Chapman was retired from American Can Co. in St. Louis, where he was a forklift operator.
Survivors include his wife, June Kuechler Chapman; a son, Wayne Chapman of Chaffee, Mo.; a daughter, Joan Reynolds of Pevely, Mo.; two brothers, Jack Chapman and Bill Chapman of Chaffee; a sister, Maxine Smith of Delta; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus and at 10 a.m. Monday at Sandy Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Mo.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with David Wells officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Cemetery at Hillsboro.
