JACKSON, Mo. -- Thomas J. Boyd, 76, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at his home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1925, at Avon, Mo., son of Thomas A. and Etta H. Johnson Boyd. He and Verna Jean Seabaugh were married Aug. 17, 1947.
Boyd was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of American Legion Post 158 in Jackson and a member of Sedgewickville Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry Boyd of Bertrand, Mo., James Boyd of Sedgewickville, Mo., and John Boyd of Jackson; daughter, Janet Kay Heady of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Dewey Boyd of Sikeston, Mo.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Fred Schmucker will officiate, with burial in Sedgewickville Cemetery.
