PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Thomas Fred Amberger, 72, of Perryville died Dec. 24, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 10, 1944, in Belgique, Missouri, son of Frank and Beatrice (Christisen) Amberger. He and Jean Ann Blandford were married June 16, 1973. She preceded him in death April 22, 1994.
Thomas was a farmer and had worked at Gilster Mary-Lee. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
Survivors include one son and two daughters, Brad (Sharon) Amberger of Fort Worth, Texas, Lisa (Bruce) Brown of Friedheim and Angela (Doug) Schindler of Perryville; one sister and two brothers, Alice Kassel, Harold Amberger and Robert Amberger, all of Perryville; and five grandchildren, Joe, Ryan and Sarah Amberger and Maysa and Holden Schindler.
Other survivors include special friend Linda Brockman and her grandchildren, Robert and Maykla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and six brothers, John, Stanley, Marie, Joseph, Paul, Betty, Franklin and William.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
