THERESIA B. PONDER

APPLE CREEK -- Theresia B. Ponder, 103, of Apple Creek, died Wednesday, July 6, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

She was born Jan. 1, 1891, daughter of Joseph and Theresia Mary Meyer Buchheit. On Oct. 27, 1919, she married Joseph H. Ponder at Apple Creek. He preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1978.

She was a member of Ladies of St. Joseph Parish of Apple Creek.

Survivors include four daughters, Rowena Meyer of Uniontown, Willette Meyer of Perryville, Geraldine Farrar of Cape Girardeau, Eugenia Crump of St. Genevieve; 26 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, seven brothers, a sister, and a grandchild.

Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, where a wake service will be at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek. The Rev. John Bolderson will officiate, and burial will be in Apple Creek Church Cemetery.
