Therese Marie Elfrink, 80, was born to earthly life Oct. 5, 1935, near Laflin, Missouri, the daughter of the late Fred W. and Louise Ann Anger Elfrink. She was born into eternal life Thursday, March 3, 2016, from her home at Leopold, Missouri.
Therese was raised on the family farm and attended the Leopold School. She moved to St. Louis at a young age working in shoe manufacturing. She finished her working career after 35 years with the United States Postal Service in St. Louis. Upon retirement, she returned to live at Leopold where she enjoyed her large family and working with antiques. Her interest in genealogy and local history was shared with many others. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.
She is survived by one brother, Justin (Karen) Elfrink of Jackson; two sister-in-laws Marie (the late Paul) Elfrink and Louella (the late Donald) Elfrink; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her brothers, Terry, Paul, Raymond, Donald and Freddie Joe Elfrink; and her sisters, Agnes Trankle, Rosalin Elfrink, Eileen Trankle and Loretta Elfrink.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon, Missouri. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Leopold.
