KELSO -- Theresa Welter, 86, of Kelso, died Sunday, March 29, 1992, at Mary's Boarding Home, Scott City Route 1.
She was born Sept. 1, 1905, at New Hamburg, daughter of Frank and Veronica Hoefler Heuring. She married Joe Michael Welter Jan. 26, 1926. He died Jan. 6, 1983.
Welter was a retired cook at St. Augustine Catholic School. She was a member of St. Augustine Church and its St. Ann Sodality, and Kelso Senior Citizens.
Survivors include four sons, Dale Welter of Peoria, Ill., Gary Welter Sr. of Kelso, Jerome Welter of Cape Girardeau, Donald Welter of Warrenton; three daughters, Florence Diebold of Chaffee, Helen Ressel of Kelso, Sharon Lappe of Gordonville; a brother, Anton Heuring of Cape Girardeau; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four sisters and a half sister.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church. Msgr. John Westhues will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City after 3 p.m. today. A KC service will be held at 8, and parish rosary at 8:30.
