Theresa L. Rouse, 84, of Jackson died Monday, May 4, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Centerville, Ill., daughter of William Leonard and Lottie J. Palmier Kaase. She and George F. Rouse were married Feb. 28, 1948. He died May 31, 1996.
Mrs. Rouse was co-founder of Cape County Private Ambulance Service and co-operator from 1968 to 1984.
Survivors include three sons, Donald F. Rouse of Arnold, Mo., David (Joanne) Rouse and Michael (Lisa) Rouse of Jackson; six grandchildren, Roderic (Rachel) Rouse, Charles M. "Fritz" Rouse, Cody Michael and Clay Thomas Rouse, Myca Theresa and Terra Lynne Rouse; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Jane Caroline Rouse.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Kaase.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
