THERESA H. LAURENTIUS

PERRYVILLE -- Theresa H. Laurentius, 89, of Perryville, died Friday, July 2, 1993, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 27, 1904, in Perry County, daughter of William and Mary Schemel Lee. She and Stephen Daniel Laurentius were married Nov. 13, 1922. He died Oct. 31, 1967.

Laurentius was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church at Biehle, and its Married Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include four sons, James and Thomas Laurentius of Perryville, Elmer and Leroy Laurentius of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Leona Probst of Bridgeton, Gladys Meyer of Perryville, Betty Jones of Jackson; three sisters, Ida Niemeyer of Perryville, Clara Thornbird of Festus, Elsie Damlow of St. Louis; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren, and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, an infant son, three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Maurus Church. The Rev. Joseph Eiler will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Monday. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. today.
