Theresa "Terry" Borneman, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 25, 1937, in Fredericktown, Mo., to Wilson S. and Imogene Jane Slinkard Tucker. She and Bill Borneman Jr. were married June 2, 1984, in Scott City. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 2012.
Terry served her country in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1959.
She was a member of the Eagles and American Legion auxiliaries. She was a 1955 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. for 19 years. Terry's fondest memories were enjoying being with family and treasured times spent with all her friends whom she considered family, also.
Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Morton, Kim (Art) Harris and Lesley (Jamie) Sissom of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, Taylor and Luke Sissom, Kristy and Levi Russell, Brandi Cordova, Tucker Koenig and Kasey Ogborn; two great-grandchildren, Tatum Runnels and Destiny Koenig; four stepchildren, Tim (Teresa) Borneman, Cindy (AJ) Kelley, Denney (Michela) Borneman and Danny Borneman; six step-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Novella Howell; a brother-in-law, Guy (Regina) Borneman; and a sister-in-law, Karen (Bill) O'Connor.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. An Eagles ceremony will be held at 7 p.m.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery, with full military rites by Missouri Honor Guard.
