PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Theodore G. "Bud" Rhyne, 85, of Perryville died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 21, 1915, at Seventy-Six, Mo., son of Jonah and Birdie Truitt Rhyne. He and Dorothy Pingel were married May 17, 1968...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Theodore G. "Bud" Rhyne, 85, of Perryville died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 21, 1915, at Seventy-Six, Mo., son of Jonah and Birdie Truitt Rhyne. He and Dorothy Pingel were married May 17, 1968.

Rhyne was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4282, Disabled American Veterans Post 45, and American Legion Post 133.

He served with the 36th Infantry in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Bob Pingel of Perryville; a stepdaughter, Sharon Brueckner of Cape Girardeau; 10 stepgrandchildren; and seven great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Sunday from 8 a.m.-12:15 p.m. The American Legion wake will be at 6:30 p.m. today, followed by the VFW wake at 6:45.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
