THEODORE CALDWELL

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Theodore R. Caldwell, 79, of East Prairie died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

He was born May 29, 1921, at Jobe, Mo., son of George and Clara Rodgers Caldwell. He and Mable Marie Hedges were married Feb. 12, 1960.

Caldwell was a retired farmer, and had lived in Mississippi County most of his life.

Survivors include his wife; four stepsons, Bill Douglas of Amarillo, Texas, Harlan Douglas of Advance, Mo., Howard Douglas of Scott City, Mo., Richard Douglas of East Alton, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Margaret Stone of Gray Summit, Mo., Margie Mayabb of Murphysboro, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie from 5-9 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Helen Kersey officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
