LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Theodora H. Jansen, 84, of Leopold passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 4, 1927, at Leopold, daughter of Joseph William and Hendricka H. Seesing Hinkebein. She and Simon Jacob Jansen were united in marriage June 17, 1950, and he passed away Feb. 5, 1988...

LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Theodora H. Jansen, 84, of Leopold passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 4, 1927, at Leopold, daughter of Joseph William and Hendricka H. Seesing Hinkebein. She and Simon Jacob Jansen were united in marriage June 17, 1950, and he passed away Feb. 5, 1988.

Mrs. Jansen was a homemaker and worked on the farm, a den mother for Boy Scout Troop 315 at Leopold, a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold and a religion teacher, and was a member of the St. Ann's Sodality.

Survivors include son Leroy (Gina P.) Jansen of Leopold; daughters Diane (Paul) Keller of Chaffee, Mo., Dolores (Darell) Bohnsack of Jackson, Yvonne (Jamey) Crawford of Morley, Mo., Jerene (John) Lovell of Leopold; brother John Hinkebein of Manchester, Mo.; sister Kathleen Marie Peters of Glennon, Mo.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbears will be Chris Bohnsack, Craig Bohnsack, Joe Keller, John Keller, Jackie Garland and Joe Hinkebein.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Benefit for Hope at Leopold.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo. Parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, with the Rev. William Hennecke and the Rev. Michael J. Casteel officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
