Thelma Stovall Sedovic, 95, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, formerly of Jackson, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. She was born Nov. 1, 1918, in Flora, Illinois, to Jesse and Blanche Harmon Hayes. She and Edgar Stovall were married in January 1935. He died Sept. 6, 1971. She later married John Sedovic. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1994...

Thelma Stovall Sedovic, 95, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, formerly of Jackson, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre.

She was born Nov. 1, 1918, in Flora, Illinois, to Jesse and Blanche Harmon Hayes. She and Edgar Stovall were married in January 1935. He died Sept. 6, 1971. She later married John Sedovic. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1994.

Thelma and Edgar resided in Jackson during the early 1950s and then relocated to St. Louis. While in St. Louis, Thelma worked as a grocery clerk many years at Straub's Food Store. She was a member of Stony Point Missionary Baptist Church in Mineral Point, Missouri. Thelma enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, but will be most remembered for being an excellent cook.

Loving survivors include four sons, Edward (Mary) Stovall of Camdenton, Missouri, Norman Stovall of Terre Du Lac, Missouri, Larry (Charlene) Stovall of Malden, Missouri, and Tom (Linda) Stovall of Dubuque, Iowa; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Juanita Stovall; two sisters, Mary Smith and Dorothy Barker; and a brother, Jesse Hayes Jr.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in McGuire Cemetery near Burfordville.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis.
