ORAN -- Thelma Marie Pobst, 74, of Oran died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 29, 1924, at Randles, daughter of Grover and Ida Davis Mobley. She and Walter Michael Pobst were married Nov. 15, 1943. He died Feb. 13, 1983.
Pobst retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and its St. Ann Sodality, Ladies Auxiliary to Morley VFW Post 5368, and Oran Senior Citizens.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth and Ross Pobst of Oran, Allen Pobst of Bell City; a daughter, Gail Crader of Louisville, Ky.; a brother, David Mobley of Randles; a sister, Lora Smith of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, three half brothers, and three half sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be at 7, and KC prayers at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Church, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
