CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Thelma L. Wright of Charleston will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston.
The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Charleston.
Mrs. Wright died Tuesday at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was 88.
She was born Nov. 24, 1902 in Supply, Ark. to the late Simon Peter and Marganie Parker Samons.
She lived in Mississippi County since 1943, and was a member of the Dilbeck Baptist Church in Supply.
On Sept. 16, 1921, she married Lulon Wright, who preceded her in death April 5, 1959. A son, a daughter, three brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Loel Harvell of Charleston; a sister, Lena Meredith of Maynard, Ark.; a grandson, Ronald L. Harvell of Houston, Texas; and two great-grandsons.
Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
