CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Thelma Jean Harvell of Charleston will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.

Harvell, 70, died Friday, June 4, 1993, at Charleston Manor.

She was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Savannah, Tenn., daughter of George T. and Florence McCollum Harvell Sr.

Harvell retired from Brown Shoe Co. in 1985, and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Tony Harvell of San Diego, Calif., and a sister, Irene Bailey of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
