SIKESTON -- Thelma Lea Ivie, 80, of Sikeston, died Friday, Aug. 2, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Dec. 21, 1915, in Gibson, daughter of William Henry and Minnie May Black Hamm. She first married Bert Starr July 9, 1935. He preceded her in death. She later married Raymond Ivie April 22, 1960. He died June 20, 1980...

SIKESTON -- Thelma Lea Ivie, 80, of Sikeston, died Friday, Aug. 2, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 21, 1915, in Gibson, daughter of William Henry and Minnie May Black Hamm. She first married Bert Starr July 9, 1935. He preceded her in death. She later married Raymond Ivie April 22, 1960. He died June 20, 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Starr of Gary, Ind., Don Starr of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Geraldine Buckley of Sikeston, Freedia Heath of Mundelein, Ill.; a brother, Lloyd Hamm of Elkhart, Ind.; three sisters, Lorene Klick of St. Louis, Bea Nash of Blythe, Calif., Elnora Byrd of North Bend, Ore.; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, three daughters, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after noon Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Caston Countz officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery at Dexter.
