Thelma Giesler

ST. MARY, Mo. -- Thelma R. Giesler, 85, of St. Mary died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, Mo.

She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Perry County, daughter of John and Magdalen Esselman Breig. She and Norbert "Chub" Giesler were married May 20, 1939, at St. Mary. He died Oct. 4, 2003.

Giesler was a member of St. Ann's Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Giesler of Ozora, Mo.; a daughter, Donna Manion of Perryville; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary, with the Rev. Richard Kasznel officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
