MATTHEWS -- Thelma B. Evans, 84, Matthews Route 1, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born March 30, 1913, at Bloomfield, daughter of George Washington and Cora Stroup Bryant.
Evans had lived at Blodgett and Sikeston before moving to Matthews.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Edwards of Sikeston, Dianne Brown of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Melba Hester of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, two brothers, and four sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-7 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Dr. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
