MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. — Thelma Maxene Brothers, 97, of Mount Pleasant entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 7, 2024.
Thelma was born March 15, 1926, in Advance, the daughter of Glen Charles and Ellade Erving Reed.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She will be remembered for the way she loved her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna J. Bishop of Charleston, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Bryan Amlingmeyer of Summerville, South Carolina, and Angela “Angie” Libhart (Brad) of Charleston; four great-grandchildren, John Carter Amlingmeyer of Tampa, Florida, Hart Joseph Amlingmeyer of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, and Bradley Cole Libhart and Robert Gabriel Libhart, both of Charleston; and three siblings, Shirley Vanderver (David) of Barnhart, Doris Cotner (Jim) of St. Louis and Charles Reed of Southern Illinois.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin B. Brothers; son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Bishop; and siblings, Jean Ellen McKnight, Dorothy Mae O’Neal, Lucille O’Howell and Johnny Reed.
Services will be held in Missouri at a later date.
