Theckla Christina Weissinger, 94, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Feb. 12, 1902, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Paul H. and Catharine Jobb Weissinger.
Weissinger attended Hanover School, College High School, played violin in the Southeast Missouri State University orchestra, and attended Cape Girardeau School of Beauty Culture.
She was a hair dresser at Harmon's Beauty Shop in Illmo, and a shop in Ste. Genevieve; worked at Model Grocery from 1944-60, and was a waitress at Marquette Hotel and Flaming Pit 15 years. She was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church and Trinity Guild.
Survivors include two nephews, Jack Weissinger of Benton, John Weissinger of Cape Girardeau, and 13 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hanover Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Sippy officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
